  • 東京出身。台湾系華僑3世。
    幼少よりクラシック音楽を学び14歳でハープをはじめる。17歳でピアノからハープへ転向。
    大学在学中より演奏活動をはじめ、現代音楽、クラシック、ポップス、邦楽、民族音楽、即興、をおこなう。
    ジャンルを問わず画家、朗読、舞台、瞑想会、落語などとコラボし形にとらわれない演奏を提供。楽曲制作ではハープ作品を作曲&演奏する。
    台湾との文化交流も積極的に取り組んでいる。

  • Ailing Sai is an international Harpist born in Tokyo, Japan.
    Her mother was brought up in a linage of traditional Buddhist monks, and her father's side Taiwanise grandparents were musicians, so she grew up in unique artistic family background of "spirituality and music."

    She graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

    Her career as a musician started early since she was still a music student at university, so she has more than 20 years of performing experience.
    In 2007 her first solo harp music album "Hana-Ichirin, A Flower Bringing the Warmth" was released by King Records Inc. in Japan.
    That album features western classical music numbers and some folk songs of the East and West.
    The next year 2008, Ailing made her major debut recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan hall.

    She was given high praises by critics and mass media and her recital was covered by Fox channel in USA× Maybelline NY "Power of Maybe."
    Since then she has been giving concerts in Asia, North America and Europe.

    Ailing has passion in composing music that reflects her spiritual sensitivity and her international music background.
    She has released five CD albums.

    And her original harp music has been futured for the three documentary films and TV program produced by NHK (Japanese National Networks association)

    Ailing also has strong interest in spirituality taking courses in meditation and introspection, and has practiced in various types of healing methods(Reiki, Theta Healing )and so she released Healing Harp music CDs.
    And I have been enjoying facilitating ”Relaxing Meditation”with harp music every month in my spare time.

  • Harpiste d'origine japonaise et taiwanaise, Ailing SAI, trace de nouvelles perspectives pour cet instrument hors norme.

    Elle collabore avec des artistes et createurs japonais dans differents domaines tels que celui de la musique electroacoustique (sampling, programmation, etc.) ou celui de la mode (musique de defile).

    Depuis 2009, elle travaille avec deux createurs electro-acousticiens japonais: Silent Poets et Port of Notes, qui ont deja engage une carriere internationale. En trio, ils ont collabore pour le defile de Tashiro Junya, a l'occasion de la Tokyo Collection, en automne 2010.

    La simplicite et la douceur de la musique des morceaux qu’elle compose elle meme font echo a une feminite certaine qui n'est pas sans rappeler le reconfort maternel.

    Ailing SAI - harpiste

    Nee a Tokyo. Ailing a rencontre la musique grace a son grand-pere chanteur, d’origine taiwanaise, et a sa grand-mere japonaise pianiste. Elle est diplomee de l’universite de musique Kunitachi (Kunitachi Ongaku daigaku), ainsi que de l’universite des arts de Tokyo (Tokyo Geijutu daigaku).

    Elle coopere sur differents projets autour de la musique contemporaine assistee ou non par ordinateur. En 1999, elle participe a l’International computer music conference (ICMC) a Pekin en 1999, puis a Goteborg (en Suede) en 2002. Elle a joue notamment en soliste a la Conference musicale de Sigmus a Yokohama. Au mois de juin de la meme annee, outre sa performance au festival de musique contemporaine, June in Buffalo, de l’universite d’Etat de New York, elle enregistre pour le CD/DVD de la prestigieuse revue du MIT (Computer Music Journal le CD annuel) consacree aux technologies musicales.

    En 2007, sous le label King Record, elle sort son premier album solo : Hana ichi lin (une fleur unique), les chansons sont tantot d’inspiration occidentale, tantot orientale, jouees a la grande harpe ou a la harpe irlandaise. En 2008, elle donne son premier recital dans les murs de Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Organise par l’institut de cooperation musicale de Tokyo, le Tokyo-Onkyo). La musicienne Chen Min (celebre musicienne d’erhu, instrument traditionnel chinois) a d’ailleurs collabore a cette premiere, ainsi que Koen YOKOI pour la decoration fleurale et Ryoan SAI pour les calligraphies et peintures. Notons de plus que Ailing a ete retenue pour le projet video ≪ Power of MAYBE ≫ organise par la FoxTVxMAYBELINE, retracant l’itineraire et la vie de jeunes artistes.

    Depuis 2009, elle commence une collaboration avec deux createurs electro-acousticiens : Daisuke KOJIMA (cofondateur de Port of Notes) et Michiharu SHIMODA (responsable du projet Silent Poets). L’automne de la meme annee, le trio a participe a la musique du defile de mode Tokyo Collection organise par Tashiro JUNYA.

    Tout en s’attachant a l’esprit de la harpe traditionnelle, Ailing SAI cherche sans cesse une synthese esthetique toujours plus poussee et innovante.
